Sushi creation by the “new guy” where I work. Pretty darn good! Minus the inappropriate wasabi. Hahah.
Crickets in lollipops?? Yeah. Totally normal. It was actually really good.
Long time, no post!
After having done yoga 3 days in a row (I’m getting healthy, wealthy, and wise, who woulda thunk!) I have a satisfying wheatgrass shot and fresh carrot juice. Today is fulfilling!
BBQ Salmon over roasted garlic potatoes and sautéed spinach with a balsamic vinegar dressing. Scrumptious!
Mmmm! My favorite Italian soda!
Sticky bun and a latte at the Pannikin.
My kind of breakfast. Mmmm!
Okay, so I really want this right about now. I’m pretty desperate for it. But alas, I cannot but shall order a similar kind of meal at work tomorrow. Pictures will be up ASAP.
…to eating really bad things all the freakin’ time after the raw food cleanse. Gah!! So far, I’ve had pizza, lasagna, froyo (frozen yogurt) with toppings galore, grilled cheeses, quesadillas, really amazing chinese food, hot creamy soups, and… a fast food… that I usually never eat but is kind of my fast food weakness… Taco Bell. UGH! Yes! I know! After all that detoxing for 19 (or so) days, I am not RE-toxifying my life. Dear oh dear. However must I go on with my mind yelling at me for REALLY caving in and having fast food.
For the record, the Dairy Fairy is evil! Stay away from over exposure to it!
That is all.
On another note, for this magnificent fall season, rather the BEST baking season, I’ll be posting pictures of my famous sweet potato bread. I’m so excited, and I just can’t hide it folks. Stay tuned!

So this weekend I went camping up in Big Bear! Now, all of you must know that when camping, certain foods are essential. Before I delve into the delicacies, let me just tell you right now… after getting off this 21 Day Raw Food Community Cleanse just 3 days earlier than I was suppose to because of this camping trip… I was and still am completely entitled to gorge myself to my hearts content.
With that said, I cooked and ate some of the most fulfilling foods this past weekend. So glad I borrowed my friend’s stove!
I devoured at least 10 s’mores; ate 3 grilled cheeses some of which had tomato and avocado; sautéed red creamer potatoes with salsa and cheddar cheese; “baked” a layered apple s’more crisp (layers of sautéed apples in a simple syrup with cinnamon, chocolate, graham crackers, and marshmallows); and lastly char grilled red and green bell peppers, stuck ‘em in a paper bag, then peeled the skins off and served them with cous cous tossed with some mixed greens.
Yup, I went full blast with cooked food this weekend.
Even after the camping was done, me and my boyfriend decided to mozy around the city of Big Bear. I’ll just cut to the chase: we “shared” an 8-piece veggie pizza from Village Pizza (I ate 5 slices and he ate 3, not my fault he got full fast!)
From there we decided to make a stop at North Pole Fudge and Ice Cream Co. on Pine Knot Blvd. We sampled delicious fudge like pumpkin pie and chocolate-carmel-marshmallow. Matt, my boo bear, decided on some rocky road ice cream and I a bag of chocolate by the pound. From their extensive selection I picked 2 caramel chocolate sammich cookie things, 1 coffee chocolate creme, 1 raspberry chocolate creme, and my favorite…. *drum roll!*… 2 marshmallows on a stick dunked in carmel and chocolate! Mmm mmm mmm, SO fulfilling.
Now, I don’t have this kind of green smoothie every morning but I wanted to switch things up a bit. I’ve had gnarlier smoothies but this one was topping the charts for sure.
Makes 2-3 servings or about 40 ounces
The Smooth & Silky Green Smoothie:
- 1 ripe avocado
- 4-8 stems of dandelion greens, washed
- 4 romaine lettuce leaves, washed
- 2-3 fresh or frozen bananas
- 1 ripe peach
- 1 orange, peeled and seeded
- 1 1/2 cups water
Blend all ingredients together until smooth. If you want the consistency thinner, add more water as needed. I suggest in 1/4 cup increments.
Yeaahhh…. this didn’t end up lasting 24 hours in my freezer. Oopsie!
Fresh, organic produce at the Leucadia farmers market!
Some amazing chocolate mint ice cream by Millie’s from the Leucadia farmers market. So epic! It’s made from almond milk, cashews, raw cacao powder, agave nectar, and coconut oil. The best!
